Decimal numbers are a set of numbers written together with a dot in between then that is called a decimal point.

Example: 56.78, 23.4, 29.008.

When we divide decimals, we change the divisor to a whole number by moving the decimal point all the way to the right. Then, we move the decimal point of the dividend up to the same number of places to the right and divide the resultant number in the normal way as we do regular division.

The dividend 6.93 has 2 digit after the decimal point and the divisor has 1 digit after the decimal point. To make the divisor 2.1 as whole number move the decimal point 1 digit to the right both divisor (21) and dividend 69.3 divide the resultant number in the normal way as we do regular division.

$6.93  ÷  2.1  =  3.3  $
