Step-3 – Substituting the value of y in first equation, we get

$\begin{matrix} - 7 x + 6 y = 42 \\ - 7 x + 6 (7) = 42 \\ - 7 x + 42 = 42 \\ - 7 x = 0 \\ x = 0 \end{matrix}$
