Substitute 3 for t.

$⇒2\left(3\right)-10=4$

Multiply 2 by 3 in the first term of the equation.

$⇒6-10=4$

Subtract 10 from 6.

$⇒-4=4\mathrm{...}\text{False}$

Therefore, t = 3 is not a solution of $\mathbf{2}\mathit{t}\mathbf{-}\mathbf{10}\mathbf{=}\mathbf{4}$.
