The chief executive officer (CEO) is the highest-ranking individual in a firm. While every firm is different, CEOs are frequently in charge of developing the company, boosting profitability, and, in the case of public corporations, rising share prices. CEOs oversee the overall operations of a corporation.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) is the high-level position manager responsible for working with the CEO. The Chief Operating Officer of determining the firm's competitive strategy in collaboration with the CEO and company president:

1. He seems to be in response to making judgments and developing concepts for supply chain management and operations.
2. He must make judgments on the location, the facilities to be given, the suppliers to be contacted, policy implementation, and so on.
3. His acts and commands must be followed by the whole firm that reports to him.
4. Subordinates must report their operations to the Chief Operating Officer.
