Common respiratory illnesses include the flu, common cold, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Among these, influenza is particularly concerning due to its potential to spread rapidly and cause severe symptoms.
Transmission of these viruses typically occurs through droplets expelled when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Direct contact with infected surfaces can also spread the virus.
